Independent counts.
Clear evidence.
Plan the scope
Agree sites, categories, stock files, access, equipment and goods movement. Choose a daytime, evening, overnight or weekend audit window; confirm the date and team in advance.
Separate the figures
Where practical, count teams work without seeing expected quantities. This reduces the risk of simply confirming existing records.
Scan & record
Log quantity, item identifier and count location. Teams follow a zoning procedure designed to prevent missed and duplicated areas.
Recheck differences
Material discrepancies are counted again before they are included in the final variance report.
Report to management
Send the agreed reconciliation and exceptions to the client's designated authorised contact. Final stock adjustments remain a client decision.
Evidence before
assumptions.
An unexpected quantity does not prove loss, fraud or negligence. We report what we count, how it was checked and where discrepancies remain.
